Job Opening: Inside Sales Representative (USA - San Jose, California)

Currently, there is an opening for an Inside Sales Representative based in our San Jose, CA headquarters. Job Summary:

  • Essential duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Sell the organization's products and/or services to prospects and other customers via the telephone or thru e-mail correspondence;
  • Handle entire inside sales process from proposal to close; reach or exceed sales quotas;
  • Solicits and maintains contact with current and prospect key accounts;
  • Track activity, prepare and maintain records for sales leads and account status;
  • Professional handling of incoming calls and e-mails related primarily, but not limited to technical support, order placement, expediting, price & delivery;
  • Provides product recommendations, applications, sales lead fulfillment and follow up for prospects & customers;
  • Provides administrative support for field sales personnel in terms of product information, sales leads, estimate / quotation assistance, order status and product applications for prospects and customers
  • Updates / records account activities in ERP system;
  • Assists with investigation of customer complaints regarding quality, tolerances, specifications;
  • Conducts job responsibilities & related activities in conformance to our ISO quality management system.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 2 to 4 years of customer service / Inside Sales or field sales experience & training
  • Related industry experience preferred;
  • Technical aptitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player; strong presentation & organizational skills
  • Knowledge of ERP / contact management database
  • Proficient with Office Suite

Job Opening: Software/Product Development Engineer (USA - San Jose, California)

Currently, there is an opening for a Software/Product Development Engineer based in our San Jose, CA headquarters. The Software/Product Development Engineer uses customer input and sales information to design or re-design, develop, test and implement innovative solutions and applications. Provides technical and procedural direction to a cross functional team for the implementation of product development ideas and concepts.

The employee reports to the Director of Engineering.

Job Summary:

  • Applies engineering principles to develop new products in line with the company's growth strategy and market demands
  • Collaborates with the Sales department and interfaces with customers to acquire and analyze customer needs, problems and specifications and make recommendations to the Engineering team to satisfy needs, develop solutions and enhance products.
  • Participates in design, prototyping, applications tests and coding or code review activities to advance assigned projects from the design and development stage to production and market launch.
  • Reviews software plans to ensure adherence to design specifications and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Conducts technical product trainings to other employees and customers to familiarize them of the product features, benefits and compatibility with other existing products.
  • Provides technical support and expertise to customers, testing applications, responding to customer feedback, providing updated software, installations, and maintenance.
  • Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications and standards.
  • Apply standards and protocols to meet customer requirements and system needs, utilize technological advancements and optimize product functionality.
  • Prepares technical manuals and product reference materials.
  • Supports company's objectives and will meet or exceed annual goals.
  • Performs assigned responsibilities in conformance to ISO procedures and supports the organization in meeting quality objectives;
  • Supports and participates in the company's health and safety program.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years experience in Linux-based software development
  • Highly experienced architecting IoT solutions
  • Highly experienced with cloud / database solutions
  • Highly experienced with iOS and Android app development
  • 3+ years in embedded software development
  • Strong C/C++ development skills
  • Fundamental understanding of embedded software architecture
  • Hands-on experience with firmware/hardware debugging techniques
  • Comfortable reading schematics
  • Experience with I2C,UART and related device protocols
  • Familiarity with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills,
  • The ability to work independently and on a small team
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills

Territory includes the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado and British Columbia. The ideal candidate will possess successful selling experience in the job territory. You are excellent in design, analysis and test of mechanical components and understand material and the detail of stress, strain and torque. The successful candidate will be a critical part of the product design and engineering team and will design and execute prototypes, test performance and reliability and help put products into production. Job Summary:

  • Designs, budgets, creates and tests prototypes of new products using a design phase control process
  • Makes ECN changes under total quality management and processes quotes for company products or in-house fixtures
  • Assists in the compilation and analysis of data to design new products or modify existing ones.
  • Specify, design, develop and test parts and assemblies for company products or in-house fixtures with attention to electrical interface parameters
  • Creates or reviews and signs engineering document changes through Engineering Change Notice (ECN) procedure
  • Analyzes material selection for a specific design, considering costs, competition, time limitations, company planning and other technical and economic factors
  • Understands machine operations as suited to produce the most economical / highest quality part
  • Communicates and interfaces with vendors, customers and staff members to define parameters, clarify issues and determine a best solution to meet design goals
  • Completes quotes as assigned and requested
  • Understands manufacturing needs (DFM, DFT, assembly prints, manufacturing instructions, documentation structure, etc.)
  • Compiles and assists in the analysis of operational, test and research data to establish or meet performance standards for newly designed or modified products
  • Analyzes test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications
  • Prepares test, research and operational data in an SPC format and translates them into clear and concise procedures
  • Evaluates engineering test results, competitors and industry for possible application to development of systems or other uses
  • Performs assigned responsibilities in conformance to ISO procedures and conducts all listed tasks and responsibilities keeping in mind the continuous improvement of our Quality Management System.

  • Superior design expertise
  • Knowledge of GD&T (per ASME Y14.5-2009)
  • Proficiency with materials, heat treatment and fabrication techniques
  • Good knowledge of test process, data acquisition theory and techniques
  • Good knowledge of motion control
  • Strong knowledge of machining operations, such as molding, forging, stamping
  • Very strong in Solidworks and PDM
  • Strong verbal and written communicator, good grammar, a team player with a high level of energy, enthusiasm and innovation spirit
  • A can do attitude who thrives on a challenge and has the drive to take a project to conclusion
