Job Opening: Territory Sales Manager (Canada - Toronto, Ontario)

Currently, there is an opening for a Territory Sales Manager based in the Toronto area. Although a large percentage of the business resides in the GTA, management of the entire territory includes the following Provinces of Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island.  Time management skills, technical aptitude, computer literacy and a college degree are essential.

Job Description

  • Develop and maintain accounts in the assigned territory
  • Achieve monthly & yearly sales quotas in multiple products and services
  • Create an action plan of how to accomplish sales quotas in assigned sales region
  • Educate leads and customers on the benefits and solutions of Mountz
  • Document customer information, opportunities and prospect details in our CRM
  • Manage projects, and resolves service related problems
  • Professional, dependable, and punctual
  • Assess client's needs and recommend the appropriate goods or services
  • Fulfill assigned tasks & complete projects as directed by Sales Manager 
  • Travel could range between 25% - 50%. 

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of three years of successful sales experience in an industrial environment
  • Proven track record in developing and increasing sales within a territory
  • Results oriented and highly motivated with a positive attitude
  • Superb organization, time management & record keeping skills
  • Curiosity to learn and understand new products, technologies, or tools
  • Exceptional project management and follow up skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills
  • Analytical, critical thinking, listening and problem solving skills
  • Able to clearly communicate technical information to a non technical audience
  • Ability to position our products in identifying the unique selling points
  • Ability to provide superior customer service on each and every transaction
  • Competent user of computer applications, including MS Office, Excel, Power Point
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Knowledge of torque and torque controlled tools and testing equipment is a plus but not necessarily required… Training will be offered

Education & Qualification:

  • College Degree preferred but not required if experience is in line with the career opening 
  • Minimum of three years field sales experience
  • Proven new business development results in a similar role
  • Solid leadership and communication skills

Territory includes Northern California and Reno, Nevada and surrounding areas (Washoe, Churchill and Mineral Counties). Job Summary:
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:- Sell the organization's products and/or services to prospects and other customers via the telephone or thru e-mail correspondence;

  • Handle entire inside sales process from proposal to close; reach or exceed sales quotas;
  • Solicits and maintains contact with current and prospect key accounts;
  • Track activity, prepare and maintain records for sales leads and account status;
  • Professional handling of incoming calls and e-mails related primarily, but not limited to technical support, order placement, expediting, price & delivery;
  • Provides product recommendations, applications, sales lead fulfillment and follow up for prospects & customers;
  • Provides administrative support for field sales personnel in terms of product information, sales leads, estimate / quotation assistance, order status and product applications for prospects and customers
  • Updates / records account activities in ERP system;
  • Assists with investigation of customer complaints regarding quality, tolerances, specifications;
  • Conducts job responsibilities & related activities in conformance to our ISO quality management system

Job Requirements:

  • At least 2 to 4 years of customer service / Inside Sales or field sales experience & training
  • Related industry experience preferred;
  • Technical aptitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player; strong presentation & organizational skills
  • Knowledge of ERP / contact management database
  • Proficient with Office Suite

Job Summary:

  • Directs and coordinates activities of the Engineering department to design, manufacture, and test components, products, and systems by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
  • Essential duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Responsible for all aspects of design engineering, including the determination and / or review of business metrics related to design.
  • Coordinates, directs projects and collaborates with other departments to make detailed plans to meet goals;
  • Directs the integration of technical activities, analyzes technology and resource needs for planning, feasibility and market demand;
  • Reviews and approves all design and design changes;
  • Plans and directs all testing, equipment installation and ensures that all tools and equipment are properly maintained and used correctly;
  • Recruits employees, assigns, directs and evaluates employee work and oversee development plans and team members' competence;
  • Participates in annual budgeting, procedure review and development;
  • Oversees documentation management, technical department interface, technical quote review and ISO liaison for Engineering
  • Conducts job responsibilities & related activities in conformance to our ISO quality management system

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering; advanced technical or MBA a plus
  • At least five years of project management experience;
  • At least ten years of technical management experience;
  • Firmware and software design experience;
  • Knowledge of machining techniques;
  • Hands on approach to design schedules;
  • Proficient in ISO 9000 procedures;
  • Skilled recruiter of highly qualified technical personnel
