Specification of Medical Tools:
The tools are manufactured from high quality materials providing the greatest resistance to the effects of temperature, wear and corrosion. Where necessary the tools have been modified to allow full ventilation/drainage of mechanism during sterilization/autoclaving.
All tools are Class 1 Medical
devices as defined by the Medical Devices Agency and conform to the Medical Devices Regulations 1994 (CE Compliance).
Torque Tool Capabilities
Surgical Tools are available covering a torque range from 0.7 ozf.in to 1195 lbf.in including Torque Screwdrivers to MTBN Break-Over Torque Wrenches.
Sterilization/Autoclaving:
Mountz, Inc. medical tools are suitable for either steam cleaning, whereby typically the tools are subjected to superheated steam 140ºC at 100% humidity for 40 minutes, or the ETO (ethylene oxide gas) process.
Lubrication:
For optimum performance it is recommended that tools be used with a lubricant such as “Blitz” surgical cleaner and lubricant manufactured by the 3M Company (Ref. M105). The recommended procedure is to lubricate prior to calibration or calibration check
followed by autoclaving. After autoclaving the tools should be re-lubricated and operated several times immediately before use.
