Electronics Manufacturing Company Establishes a Tool Auditing System

An electronics manufacturing company uses the PTT to audit their 150+ pneumatic tools on a daily basis. Each tool is bar-coded and a unique tool test is created for each tool. The operator scans and checks their own tool. If the operator gets 5 "green lights", the tool is passed and is authorized for use. The readings are stored on the PTT and then downloaded to their network for archiving per their ISO procedures. The PTT system, with the torque sensors and bar code reader, works for the electronics manufacturer application due to its portable, modular design. The manufacturer uses three "systems" and mounted the units on to a portable toolbox. Additionally, they designed fixtures to mount the equipment as well as a podium to hold an instruction book. The PTT torque analyzer, torque sensors and accessory products have helped their quality department; control their torque process for their assembly and production operations while saving numerous hours on their data collection efforts.
