Electric Screwdrivers - PED III & FED III

There are four components for configuring a torque control system.

1. Controller: PED III or FED III
2. Driver Series model: M, S, or A
3. Driver #: 1200, 2200, 3600 8500,
                  12K, 15K, 20K or 30K
4. Driver Series Configuration:
    SD, FD, SH or FH

 Driver Series Model

M-Series Driver unit with automatic recognition
The M-Series driver units have a forward/reverse with a lever type on/off switch that activates the motor. The M-Series drivers can be connected to both the PEDIII and FEDIII controller and is used in hand operated applications. The M-Series drivers are equipped with a 1/4 female quick-change chuck. The FH model is equipped with a bit cushion mechanism. The bit has a moveable range of 10mm in the axis direction. The driver unit can keep the same bit pressure anywhere within the moveable range.

S-Series Driver unit with automatic recognition
The S-Series driver units have a forward/reverse with a lever type on/off switch that activates the motor. The S-Series drivers can be connected to both the PEDIII and FEDIII controller and is used in hand operated applications. The S-Series drivers are equipped with a 4mm diameter D-Cut quick-change chuck. The FD model is equipped with a bit cushion mechanism. The bit has a moveable range of 10mm in the axis direction. The driver unit can keep the same bit pressure anywhere within the moveable range.

A-Series Driver unit with automatic recognition
The A-Series driver unit's power and direction are controlled by either the PEDIII or the FEDIII controller and are used for automatic applications. The FD and FH models are equipped with a bit cushion mechanism. The bit has a moveable range of 10mm in the axis direction and +/- 1mm (from bit center) in the circumference direction (360). The driver unit can keep the same bit pressure anywhere within the moveable range.

Fastening Torque Range and RPM
The Systems table shows the torque range for the M-Series (hand operated). The RPM is automatically selected in accordance with the torque value you program in the controller.

Each model has the ability to switch to either standard or high speed using the customized software.

If you require any specific RPM for a certain fastening torque, please feel free to contact a customer service representative. We need to know your specific fastening torque in use, so we can determine if the RPM you require can be achieved.
