Designed for an ESD-safe environment with sensitive electronic components and assemblies, the Mountz ESD screwdriver adheres strictly to IEC standards, safeguarding against electrostatic energy and ensuring the utmost protection for delicate electronics. The tool features dynamic wear-resistant internal seals as an added protective measure to prevent grease leakage and contamination from infiltrating sensitive areas or components.

The preset torque screwdriver applies the right amount of torque every time for fastening applications where errors are unacceptable. Preset hand torque screwdrivers are ideal for applications where operators repeatedly assemble parts at the same torque setting.

The precision screwdriver features a cam-over design that prevents over-torque events. As a quality control tool, the screwdriver allows users to confidently deliver the correct torque regardless of task and operator skill level. Using a quality screwdriver ensures precision torque control and maintains requirements associated with ISO quality standards.

The torque screwdriver is pre-set to the application's required torque value. A preset torque screwdriver does not feature an external adjustment scale. These tools have an internal adjustment mechanism for setting the torque value, which must be preset internally using a hex key and a torque tester. However, if the torque specification changes, the screwdriver is flexible enough to be adjusted internally, along with a torque analyzer for a new torque setting.

The preferred and certified ranges of these tools is in accordance with the requirements of ISO 6789 (+/- 6% of indicated setting).

    ESD Environment:

    • Equipped with anti-static properties, the ESD screwdrivers effectively minimize static electricity generation and particle attraction.
    • ESD safe tool prevents electrostatic discharge — high-grade dissipative coating maintains a surface resistance within the range of 10⁵ to 10⁸ Ohms, ensuring compliance with ESD standards (Methods: IEC 61340-5-1, ANSI/ESD STM11.13). Review our technical support document to learn more about our ESD testing process.
    • Features dynamic wear-resistant internal seals as an added protective measure to prevent grease leakage and contamination from infiltrating sensitive areas or components.

    Error-Proofing:

    • Engineered with a cam-over mechanism, cam-over poka-yoke torque screwdrivers reduce the possibility of operator error in both fastening directions, ensuring correct torque is applied and preventing fastener breakage.
    • Providing the operator with a preset tool prevents tampering and ensures that operators always use the appropriate torque setting—unmatched security of the tamper-proof internal adjustment. No external adjustment scale—must be preset using a torque analyzer.

    Process Improvement:

    • Preset torque screwdrivers are ideal for production applications where consistent torque is critical. The screwdrivers are commonly used for precision fastening tasks where operators must consistently apply the same torque setting for each part. Preset torque screwdrivers offer greater consistency and repeatability, reducing the risk of operator error.

    Ergonomics:

    • Ergonomic handles are designed with fewer flutes and larger recesses to make the tools easier to hold, and less likely to cause hand fatigue.

    Advanced Technology:

    • Mountz torque unique bearing system eliminates axial load and sideloads on the fastener applied by the operator.
    • Mountz tools use a patented secure bit locking mechanism with a one-touch release so that the operator can activate it to enable greater flexibility of applications and efficiency on the line.
    • Reduced bit wear lowers the incidence of bits falling out, which can slow production or cause product damage.
    • The new design improves serviceability, reduces downtime, and enables the replacement of individual parts to extend the life of your investment.
    • The tool can be calibrated and operational in either the CW or CCW direction. (FG-ESD screwdriver default configuration: Torque Direction Arrow is engraved in CW direction on the tool. Mountz preset service option is conducted in the CW direction). Request a quote for an application that requires CCW calibration and CCW Torque Direction Arrow on the FG-ESD tool.

    Mountz Quality Standards:

    • Our tools are durable & reliable. We provide an industry-leading warranty: 2 years unconditional. Lifetime against defects.
    • Calibration life 4x ISO standards. Unmatched by any torque screwdriver.
    • Review our technical whitepaper to learn how FG ESD drivers minimize static electricity generation effectively.
