TBX Break-Over Wrenches
Engineered and assembled in Silicon Valley, the Mountz TBX line of precision preset break-over wrenches ensures consistent process and quality control by providing operators with a break-over wrench that helps you support your quality control inspectors by empowering your workers to prevent assembly errors. Torque range suitable for low to higher torque applications.
Designed to tighten diverse fasteners accurately, break-over wrenches inform their operator when the right torque is reached by deflecting on their built-in hinge. As a result, you can reduce defective products and rework related to over- and under-torque conditions.
Their small size enables them to fit into areas with tight clearances, boosting productivity and project ROI.
With interchangeable heads, Mountz break-over wrenches allow you to switch out heads for tricky fasteners and to get more use out of your existing tools.
NOTE: Head interchangeability is intended for use during recalibration to allow reconfiguring tools for different applications. They are not intended to be interchanged as a normal part of a manufacturing process.
TBX break-over wrenches have a calibration life of 4x ISO standards that is unmatched by any click wrench on the market to keep your tools out of the lab and on the production floor.
Safeguarding Against Fastening Failures
- Torque limiting wrench improves control of the tightening process and reduces the risk of over and under-tightening
- The preset wrench ensures that the correct torque value is consistently applied to each fastener by reducing the risk of the operator tampering with settings.
- The break-over mechanism deflects 20° on torque delivery, visually indicating torque is achieved. The break-over angle can be changed to 90° with only the TBX-12 models by removing the Stop Collar
- Interchangeable end fitting design—selectable head types and sizes.
- Our products are reliable and durable; Calibration life 4x ISO standards, unmatched by any click wrench.

Calibration & Service:
- Torque Analyzers & Sensors: If torque tools slip out of calibration, that could impact the quality of your products. An accurate way to regularly test calibration onsite is a great way to reduce risk and ensure safety. With Mountz torque analyzers and sensors, you can test tools before they go into service daily or weekly.
- Hex Step Adapters: When performing torque wrench calibration or testing, adapters are often needed, especially with torque wrenches with open-end heads. Mountz’s calibration hex step adapter features three or four common sizes, increasing the productivity of your torque wrench calibration process.
