Electrical Engineer (San Jose, CA)

Mountz, Inc is seeking an electrical engineer. At Mountz, the position will use their electrical design expertise and experience to design, develop, modify and evaluate electronic parts, components, or controls/integrated circuitry for hardware and/or other systems for Mountz next generation product lines.


Job Responsibilities:

· Electrical lead for development of new products and/or improvement of existing products for cost reductions, warranty improvements, and manufacturability.

· Design electronic module hardware including PCBAs for industrial fastening equipment from conception through mass production including but not limited to: data transfer systems, embedded system controllers, and user interfaces

· Specify system, module and component requirements for any purchased subcomponents and assemblies

· Verify designs through simulation, bench testing and experimentation

· Ensure design compliance including but not limited to: ISO 6789, NIST, FCC

· Contribute to and follow the company product development process by participating in a disciplined phase gate process and design reviews through concept, design, verification, commercialization and project closure

· Develop and execute test plans to validate designs throughout all project stages

· Obtaining listings and regulatory approvals such as UL, FCC, CE, IEC and others depending on project

· Develop the documentations during the development and transfer to manufacturing (schematics, diagrams, BOM, test procedures)


Qualifications: 

· Possess a BS or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

· Minimum of 5+ years in industrial product electrical design

· Experience with electrical schematic capture, PCB design, wiring diagrams, parts database structures, BOM structures, and engineering change management

· Experience in developing UI systems using touch screens and push buttons

· Proficient with electronics lab equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, soldering irons, etc. for troubleshooting and evaluating hardware designs

· Strong technical skills including low cost hardware design, design for reuse, critical thinking, problem solving and data analysis

· Experience with Altium Designer schematic capture and layout tools

· Ability to work independently on small projects

Manufacturing Technician (San Jose, CA)

Mountz is seeking a Manufacturing Technician that is curious about why things work, and understands that the only way to an answer is through data. You must be comfortable taking ownership of test systems in all aspects from mechanical, electrical to LabVIEW program. You will help us make continuous improvements on test systems to reduce cycle time and minimize downtime.


Job Responsibilities:

· Own manufacturing equipment and test systems

· Maintain calibration interval and ensure system is up and running

· Own the mechanical, electrical and LabVIEW program to make modification or troubleshoot issues

· Support test systems with improvements to reduce cycle time

· Support test systems to reduce downtime

· Create manuals and train technicians on best practice for manufacturing test systems

· Perform tests on systems to support our improvement program

· Perform calibration on test systems to ensure system is functioning accurately and correctly

· Maintain records, calibration interval, and other ISO9001 required documents for all test systems

· Use statistic to analyze data and ensure our test systems and tools are performing to specification (SPC, Cp, Cpk)

· Performs assigned responsibilities in conformance to ISO and internal QMS procedures and supports the organization in meeting quality objectives


Qualifications:

Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, and – minimum

· 5 years of related experience and/or training

· Technical aptitude and working knowledge of Motor control systems

· Maintain mechanical, electrical and software (LabVIEW)

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· 8D or other root cause and corrective action methods

· SPC in a production environment

· Use of Minitab/Excel as an analytical tool

· Six Sigma green belt desire, black belt preferred

Mechanical Engineer (San Jose, CA)

Mountz, Inc is seeking a mechanical engineer. At Mountz, the position will be a critical part of the product design and engineering team and will design and execute prototypes, test performance and reliability and help put products into production. You are being recruited to make up a BEST IN CLASS team that will change the industry through product design.


Job Responsibilities:

· Creates, interprets and corrects SolidWorks 3D models and 2D drawings

· Creates or reviews and signs engineering document changes through Engineering Change Notice (ECN) procedure

· Analyzes material selection for a specific design, considering costs, competition, time limitations, company planning and other technical and economic factors

· Understands machine operations as suited to produce the most economical / highest quality part

· Specifies, designs, develops and tests parts and assemblies for company products or in-house fixtures with attention to electrical interface parameters

· Communicates and interfaces with vendors, customers and staff members to define parameters, clarify issues and determine a best solution to meet design goals

· Completes quotes as assigned and requested

· Understands manufacturing needs (Design for Manufacturability, Design for FT, assembly prints, manufacturing instructions, documentation structure, etc.)

· Compiles and assists in the analysis of operational, test and research data to establish or meet performance standards for newly designed or modified products

· Analyzes test data and reports to determine if the design meets functional and performance specifications

· Prepares test, research and operational data in an SPC format and translates them into clear and concise procedures

· Evaluates engineering test results, competitors and industry for possible application to development of systems or other uses

· Performs assigned responsibilities in conformance to ISO procedures and conducts all listed tasks and responsibilities keeping in mind the continuous improvement of our Quality Management System

· Supports and participates in the company's health and safety program


Qualifications: 

· Minimum BS Mechanical Engineering plus 5-7 plus years related experience or MS Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics plus 3-5 years related experience

· Superior design expertise

· Knowledge of GD&T (per ASME Y14.5-2009)

· Proficiency with materials, heat treatment and fabrication techniques

· Good knowledge of test process, data acquisition theory and techniques

· Good knowledge of motion control

· Strong knowledge of machining operations, such as molding, forging, stamping

· Very strong in Solidworks and PDM

Mountz, Inc is seeking an eCommerce manager. At Mountz, the position you are an expert in online sales and eCommerce strategies and the various platforms used to conduct digital sales or conversions on a website. Your responsibilities include monitoring the day-to-day activity on the site and the overall performance to achieve goals like improving user experience, increasing website traffic and sales, and developing brand loyalty. You will be heavily involved in setting the growth strategy for the website providing project ROI reports.
