Job Opening: Electrical Engineering Technologist (San Jose, CA)
Designs, develops and tests electrical equipment and systems;
Interfaces with cross-functional teams / project committee for the development of new electrical products to ensure products are built according to functional specifications/requirements;
Assists in troubleshooting problems with our electronic devices / components;
Develops specifications for new products or enhancements;
Ensures proper documentation of product designs and specifications
Conducts job responsibilities & related activities in conformance to our ISO quality management system
Diagnose, test, or analyze the performance of electrical components, assemblies, or systems.
Review electrical engineering plans to ensure adherence to design specifications and compliance with applicable electrical codes and standards.
Calculate design specifications or cost, material, and resource estimates, and prepare project schedules and budgets.
Compile and maintain records documenting engineering schematics, install equipment, installation or operational problems, resources used, repairs, or corrective action performed.
Set up and operate standard or specialized testing equipment.
Review installation or quality assurance documentation.
Participate in training or continuing education activities to stay abreast of engineering or industry advances.
Review, develop, and prepare maintenance standards.
Job entails working with and requires Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or equivalent with 2 years of experience including: LabView, C, C++, PADS, Altium, Code Block, HEW, CPLDs, DAQS. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience. This should be read to mean that the employer requires Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or equivalent with 2 years of experience in the job offered, Electrical Engineer, Hardware Engineer or Equivalent.
