Designed for assembly applications where fastening errors simply aren't acceptable, the FG-125i preset torque screwdriver applies the right amount of torque every time. Preset hand torque screwdrivers are ideal for manufacturing applications where operators repeatedly assemble parts at the same torque setting. Designed with a cam-over mechanism, the accurate screwdriver prevents a fastener or bolt from being under and over tightened. As a quality control tool, the screwdriver allows any user to deliver the correct torque with confidence regardless of task and operator skill level. Using a quality torque screwdriver ensures that proper torque is being applied and maintains requirements associated with ISO quality standards.

The torque screwdriver is pre-set to the required torque value of the application. A preset torque screwdriver does not feature an external adjustment scale. These tools have an internal adjustment mechanism for setting the torque value and must be preset internally using a hex key and a torque analyzer or torque sensor. However, if the torque specification changes or a new project requires a different torque setting, the preset torque screwdriver is still flexible enough that a new torque setting can be set internally using a torque tester.
The preferred and certified ranges of these tools is in accordance with the requirements of ISO 6789 (+/- 6% of indicated setting).

Accessories

Calibration & Service:

  • Torque Analyzers & Sensors: If torque tools slip out of calibration, that could impact the quality of your products. An accurate way to regularly test calibration onsite is a great way to reduce risk and ensure safety. With Mountz torque analyzers and sensors, you can test tools before they go into service daily or weekly.
  • Prepaid Calibration Vouchers: Book service and maintenance in advance to ensure your tools are always in top condition and ready to use. Add this service to the FG-125i screwdriver purchase.

    Error-Proofing:

    • Engineered with a cam-over mechanism, cam-over poka-yoke torque screwdrivers reduce the possibility of operator error in both fastening directions, ensuring correct torque is applied and preventing fastener breakage.
    • Providing the operator with a preset tool prevents tampering and ensures that operators always use the appropriate torque setting—unmatched security of the tamper-proof internal adjustment. No external adjustment scale—must be preset using a torque analyzer.

    Process Improvement:

    • Use color-coded label options for visible and easy-to-understand torque setting identification.

    Ergonomics:

    • Ergonomic handles are designed with fewer flutes and larger recesses to make the tools easier to hold, and less likely to cause hand fatigue.

    Advanced Technology:

    • Mountz torque unique bearing system eliminates axial load and sideloads on the fastener applied by the operator.
    • Mountz tools use a patented secure bit locking mechanism with a one-touch release so that the operator can activate it to enable greater flexibility of applications and efficiency on the line.
    • Reduced bit wear lowers the incidence of bits falling out, which can slow production or cause product damage.
    • The new design improves serviceability, reduces downtime, and enables the replacement of individual parts to extend the life of your investment.
    • The tool can be calibrated and operational in either the CW or CCW direction. (FG screwdriver default configuration: Torque Direction Arrow is engraved in CW direction on the tool. Mountz preset service option is conducted in the CW direction). Request a quote for an application that requires CCW calibration and CCW Torque Direction Arrow on the FG tool.

    Mountz Quality Standards:

    • Our tools are durable & reliable. We provide an industry-leading warranty: 2 years unconditional. Lifetime against defects.
    • Calibration life is 4x ISO standard for FG-125i the models. Unmatched by any torque screwdriver.
    • All Mountz-designed hand tools endure extensive Cmk testing over 20,000 continuous torque readings. Review our technical whitepaper to learn more!
