The Mountz FG-IFR (Impact Free Resetting) Preset Torque Screwdriver is engineered for critical fastening applications where precision, repeatability, and protection of delicate components are essential. Featuring Mountz's innovative Impact Free Resetting (IFR) cam-over technology, the screwdriver minimizes vibration and reaction force during the reset cycle, making it the ideal fastening solution for shock-sensitive assemblies including electronics, medical devices, plastics, optics, and precision instruments.


Unlike conventional cam-over screwdrivers, the FG-IFR incorporates a low-impact reset mechanism that significantly reduces the vibration transmitted to the fastener and surrounding components. This helps protect fragile assemblies while improving fastening consistency and product quality. The cam-over mechanism prevents over-torque, reducing fastener breakage, and supporting poka-yoke (error-proofing) manufacturing processes.


Preset torque screwdrivers are optimized for applications where the same torque value is repeatedly required. The FG-8i IFR is internally adjustable using a hex key and torque tester, allowing quality managers or technicians to securely preset the desired torque value without an external adjustment scale. If production requirements change, the tool can be recalibrated and reset using a torque analyzer for additional flexibility.
