The versatile low torque sensor is used in conjunction with a Mountz torque tester to meet the demands of testing multiple micro torque ranges for various torque tools used in production, maintenance, and calibration labs. The micro torque sensor is a bench-mounted calibration instrument designed for testing small hand screwdrivers, torque wrenches and power tools. Controlling torque is quintessential for companies to ensure their products' quality, safety, and reliability aren't compromised.

Torque Sensor Accuracy
System Accuracy ± 0.5% of reading from 20% to 100% when connected to an LTT or PTT
System Accuracy ± 1% of reading from 10% to 20% when connected to an LTT or PTT

Accessories

Torque Analyzers:
The MTX must be connected to a torque analyzer to display a torque reading and store the test data. Compatible with these torque testers:

Cables for Connecting MTX to a Torque Analyzer:
Cable must be purchased to connect MTX to LTT & PTT

Improve Your Calibration Process:

Multiplexer: Allows users to connect 1-4 torque sensors to the torque analyzer simultaneously. The device eliminates the need to plug and unplug torque sensors. The torque analyzer powers the Multiplexer, so no additional power source is required.

Mounting Brackets: Use a mounting bracket to securely mount an MTX sensor to a workstation for improved performance and product protection.

Torque Wrench Calibration:

Calibration Hex Step Adapters: When performing torque wrench calibration or testing, adapters are often needed, especially with torque wrenches with open-end heads. Mountz’s calibration hex step adapter features four common sizes.

Power Tool Calibration:

Mini Run Down Adapters: It is used with a low-torque sensor for testing power tools and provide consistent and reliable torque readings. The mini run-down adapter uses a fastener and is mounted in-line between the tool drive and the torque sensor.

Sensor Maintenance and Calibration:

Maintain and calibrate your tools on-site by purchasing calibration equipment to use in-house. The organization that owns the tool must determine a suitable calibration frequency that meets their needs based on the history of equipment performance, application, degree of usage, and management objectives. For most organizations, we recommend 6-month or 12-month calibration intervals.

Calibration Wheels: Engineered for calibrating torque analyzers and sensors and ensuring instruments are traceable to National or International Standards, such as N.I.S.T and ISO.

Calibration Hangers and Weights: Calibrated Dead Weight are the official means by which torque analyzers and torque sensors are calibrated and are traced to National or International Standards, such as N.I.S.T, and ISO.

Calibrate, Validate, and Maintain Your Tools:

    • Low torque sensor for testing and calibrating small hand screwdrivers, torque wrenches, and power assembly tools. Ensure proper torque is applied and reduce manufacturing errors on your assembly line.
    • Low profile design ideal for calibrating robotic drivers on the assembly line.
    • Validate that a tool is still in calibration with a torque verification process.
    • Mountable sensor for flexible placement options and keep it securely mounted to a test lab station or mobile calibration cart. Keeping the sensor in a stable position ensures the torque measurement accuracy during operation.
    • A versatile instrument that allows you to expand torque testing capacity.
    • Female square drive.
    • Bi-directional measurement operation.

    Connectability:

    • Features ARC II technology, an instant auto-recognition system of the MTX connected to the PTT or LTT torque testers.
    • Easily connect up to 4 torque sensors using the Mountz multiplexer.

    Mountz Quality Standards:

    • ISO 17025 calibration certificate included with purchase.

This is the stand alone accuracy statement for the MTX torque sensor. When the torque sensor is coupled with a Mountz torque analyzer, there is a system accuracy. Review the system accuracy listed with each torque analyzer (PTT or LTT).

WARNING! Always use a run down adapter when testing power tools.
