Meeting the demands to test multiple torque ranges for various torque tools used in production, maintenance and calibration labs, the versatile torque sensor is used in conjunction with a torque tester. The torque sensor is a bench mounted calibration instrument designed for torque wrench calibration, torque screwdriver calibration, and electric & pneumatic screwdriver calibration. Controlling torque is quintessential for companies to ensure their product's quality, safety and reliability isn't compromised.

Accessories

Torque Analyzers:
The BMX must be connected to a torque analyzer to display a torque reading and store the test data. Compatible with these torque testers:

Cables for Connecting BMX to a Torque Analyzer:
Cable must be purchased to connect BMX to LTT & PTT

Improve Your Calibration Process:

Multiplexer: Connect 1-4 torque sensors to the PTT or LTT torque analyzer. Switch between sensors manually or automatically.

Mounting Brackets: Use a mounting bracket to securely mount a BMX sensor to a workstation for improved performance and product protection.

Torque Wrench Calibration:

Calibration Hex Step Adapters: When performing torque wrench calibration or testing, adapters are often needed, especially with torque wrenches with open-end heads. Mountz’s calibration hex step adapter features four common sizes.

Power Tool Calibration:

Standard Run Down Adapters: Are designed to provide consistent and reliable torque readings for use with power-driven torque control tools. RDAs reduce the impact and irregular peaks that cause poor repeatability. Each RDA has an effective torque range and will supply repeatable torque data within that range if used correctly. The run-down adapter is mounted in-line between the tool drive and the transducer.

Sensor Maintenance and Calibration:

Maintain and calibrate your tools on-site by purchasing calibration equipment to use in-house. The organization that owns the tool must determine a suitable calibration frequency that meets their needs based on the history of equipment performance, application, degree of usage, and management objectives. For most organizations, we recommend 6-month or 12-month calibration intervals.

Calibration Wheels and Calibration Segment Arms: Engineered for calibrating torque analyzers and sensors and ensuring instruments are traceable to National or International Standards, such as N.I.S.T and ISO.

Calibration Hangers and Weights: Calibrated Dead Weight are the official means by which torque analyzers and torque sensors are calibrated and are traced to National or International Standards, such as N.I.S.T, and ISO.

Calibrate, Validate, and Maintain Your Tools:

    • Torque sensor for testing and calibrating hand screwdrivers, torque wrenches, and power assembly tools. Ensure proper torque is applied and reduce manufacturing errors on your assembly line.
    • Validate that a tool is still in calibration with a torque verification process.
    • Mountable sensor for flexible placement options and keep it securely mounted to a test lab station or mobile calibration cart. Keeping the sensor in a stable position ensures the torque measurement accuracy during operation.
    • A versatile instrument that allows you to expand torque testing capacity with sensor models ranging from 2 ozf.in to 5,000 lbf.ft.
    • Female square drive.
    • Bi-directional measurement operation.

    Connectability:

    • Features ARC II technology, an instant auto-recognition system of the BMX connected to the PTT or LTT torque testers.
    • Easily connect up to 4 torque sensors using the Mountz multiplexer.

    Mountz Quality Standards:

    • ISO 17025 calibration certificate included with purchase.

This is the stand alone accuracy statement for the BMX torque sensor. When the torque sensor is coupled with a Mountz torque analyzer, there is a system accuracy. Review the system accuracy listed with each torque analyzer (PTT or LTT).

WARNING! Always use a run down adapter when testing power tools.
